New Patients
Your First Visit
Your very first visit to our clinic will be a discovery process to determine the source of your health concerns. When you enter the office, you will be greeted by our personable staff and complete a detailed health history with one of our exam specialists.
You will then experience a thorough spinal examination. This will determine any abnormal alignment and motion patterns and how these could be detrimentally affecting your central and peripheral nervous systems and subsequent organ function.
If any further imaging studies are necessary, they will be performed at this time.
Your Second Visit
After the examination, and if your doctor determines you are a good candidate for reconstructive or structural chiropractic care, he will then arrange for your next visit, which is the Doctors Report.
At the Doctors Report, the doctors will give a detailed overview of how structural chiropractic care works as well as the evidence supporting the specialized work that they do.
Your doctor will privately review the results of your examination and any radiographs taken with you, as well as his care recommendations for your specific case.
Regular Visits
A typical visit to our office once beginning chiropractic care only takes a few minutes. An adjustment doesn’t require much time, but it is what allows your body to begin the healing process.

Our Team
Dr. Joshua Nikkanen
Dr. Joshua Nikkanen graduated with an honours biology degree from the university of Ottawa, and his doctor of chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College. He opened Crossroads Chiropractic in 2009.
Dr. Kristina Turkewitsch
Dr. Kristina graduated from CMCC in June 2016, and is now an associate chiropractor at Crossroads.
Annie Nikkanen
In addition to being Dr. Josh’s wife, in 2008 Annie came on board as Office Manager and Chiropractic Assistant. In early 2010, she expanded her role to include all marketing and special promotions for Crossroads Chiropractic.
