This past week, I decided to fill my car with premium fuel. It was more expensive, but I wanted to experiment and see how the car drove, and if the fuel efficiency changed. To my surprise, not only did my my car run better, I actually got better fuel economy. I think the increase in fuel economy actually made up for the increase in cost. Amazing!
This made me think about the fuel that most people put into their body. Is it premium or cheap regular? The truth is our bodies will react just the same was as a car, the only difference is you can buy a new vehicle…you cannot purchase a new body. The trouble is, if you look around you, most people are using poor fuel. The reasons are quite simple; poor fuel is easy and accessible, and they have not really given it much thought.
So why not try this new experiment, and reassess what you take in? Ask yourself “is it clean, natural and wholesome?” Take a look at what you drink. This is probably the biggest area of difficulty, because we don’t see all the sugar, sweeteners and chemicals that we are actually taking in. For the most part, think of a sugar drink as liquid candy.
If you are good with all this, how about looking at what are you listening to and watching; are they wholesome and uplifting? You are ultimately the judge of all of this. The challenge again is, you may not see the negative effects for a long time.
Regardless of which fuel you choose, your will never function optimally if you are not getting checked for subluxation by a chiropractor. That awesome organic food will not be metabolized properly. If you are seeing a chiropractor, make sure you keep your appointments. If not, and you are interested in getting your spine checked, give us a call. We would love to help.
Have a great week, and take a second look at how you’re fueling your body!
